The report was generated from data provided for requesting proposals for the preparation of an Energy Audit that will provide recommendations to recover energy where possible and reduce the energy cost arid usage at Abu Dhabi Trade Center property.
The project consists in a major renovation of the existing historical building “Automóvel Clube do Brasil” in the city Rio de Janeiro. Following the premises of the C40 Reinventing Cities Program and the Sustainable Development Plan of Rio de Janeiro, the project aims to transform the abandoned structure into a reference project that focuses in low carbon impact and sustainable development of the city.
The project included energy modelling and proposing energy saving measures for a 1910-built apartment building with commercial spaces on the ground level. The client was the building owner, who himself was a resident of the building. With its historical importance and heavy construction, the building offered significant challenges and opportunities for proposing cost-effective energy saving measures.
